Terms & Conditions
The programs, classes, and retreats offered by The Northern Gateway (“TNG” hereinafter) are intensive journeys of learning and transformation. In order to receive the full benefit of the programs, classes, and retreats, students must be committed to their journey. The following policies are intended to assist with a successful experience.
We ask that participants attending any of our offerings do so strictly for educational reasons and not to seek healing of any kind. Persons with health or psychiatric problems may find some programs physically and mentally trying and risky. We recommend that in case of doubt, a physician or mental health professional be consulted. TNG reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a participant at any time, and to make changes in the schedule/itinerary whenever deemed necessary for the comfort, convenience, and safety of our participants, and to cancel a program at any time.
The work we do is guided by spirit and held in a sacred container. It is with integrity we share the stories, the knowledge and hold the sacred space. We help people heal, unfurl the riddles of life, learn to read the runes, expand their knowledge of the lands, the history of our ancestors, and aid in guiding you to what lies behind the veil. We honour each and everyone, their stories, trials and joys. It is expected that you show up with the same integrity.
The content that we teach in all our classes, in readings, and during retreats is lead by spirit, to guide you and the others participating. Confidences are shared in these spaces. Hearts are opened and trust is created. These classes are confidential, to be kept in the circle around the fire. Content is not to be shared, recorded or dispersed to others. If you learn something from us and others, and share beyond the circle, we ask that you honour these teachings by honouring your teachers and spirit. This is the way we weave this container, our Wyrd and our Orlog.
By participating in TNG, you declare that all content will be held in confidence, with honour and in the highest regard for spirit, and your brothers, sisters and spirit.
Registration: Registration will be considered complete upon the payment of your deposit. Payments are agreed to upon registration, if applicable. Based on space available, TNG will endeavor to facilitate student bookings at later dates. In the remote circumstance that minimum class or event sizes are not reached, such event will be rescheduled and all associated deposits or additional payments will remain in good standing.
Registration for any tier of TNG Memberships (Mead Horn, Chalice or Grail) is processed through our course platform. Payments are made via a monthly subscription, which can be managed in your settings in the said platform, which is known as Ruzuku.
Special Offers and Discounts:
TNG will occasionally offer promotional or short-term specials. Any such offering is time-sensitive and may only be applied during the limited time period associated with the offering. If discounted classes are not completed, or payment terms are not met, all discounts become void and the full price charged, subject to additional fees, if any.
If a student needs to withdraw from a class, the student must send a written withdrawal letter to firstname.lastname@example.org at least 15 days before the course commencement date. The student may receive a refund of the cost of the class minus any associated deposit (if applicable), and fees, but only to the extent that all funds have been paid to and received by TNG. All deposits are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received 14 days or less prior to the scheduled class. The student has one-year to apply their payment to a future course, based on the class format.

Cancellations: Retreat specific, to be updated soon.
Although The Northern Gateway will do everything possible to hold programs, classes, and retreats as scheduled, cancellations may occur for reasons beyond the control of The Northern Gateway. Such cancellations may be the result of acts of God or force majeure (including, but not limited to, earthquakes, volcanoes, severe storms, floods, etc.), political machinations (including, but not limited to, war, closure of borders, etc.), terrorism or threats of terrorist activities, or acts of other third-parties (including, but not limited to, the canceling of reservations by conference centers, hotels, etc.) If a program, course, or expedition is cancelled for reasons indicated in this paragraph, or for any other reason beyond the control of The Northern Gateway, then the participant will be given a credit to attend a future class, program, or retreat of the same nature as the cancelled event for a period of two years. No refunds will be issued for cancellations beyond the control of The Northern Gateway.
WHETHER THE CANCELLATION OF A CLASS, COURSE, PROGRAM OR RETREAT IS DUE TO A REQUEST BY THE STUDENT, OR IS INITIATED BY THE NORTHERN GATEWAY ANY REASON, IN NO EVENT WILL THE NORTHERN GATEWAY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PERSONAL EXPENSES INCURRED IN PREPARATION FOR, OR IN RELATION TO THE CANCELLED EVENT. SUCH PERSONAL EXPENSES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, TRAVEL EXPENSES, CHILD CARE EXPENSES, OR ANY OTHER EXPENSE INCURRED BY THE STUDENT. THE STUDENT ACKNOWLEDGES THAT ANY REFUND IDENTIFIED IN THESE POLICIES IS SOLELY FOR MONIES THAT HAVE BEEN PAID DIRECTLY TO AND RECEIVED BY THE NORTHERN GATEWAY AS AN EXPENSE FOR THE SUBJECT EVENT, AND THE STUDENT HOLDS THE NORTHERN GATEWAY HARMLESS FOR ANY OTHER MONIES THAT THE STUDENT MAY PAY TO THIRD PARTIES IN PREPARATION FOR OR IN RELATION TO ANY PROGRAM, CLASS, EXPEDITION OR RETREAT.
